Benjamin Caro

Benjamin Caro

Benjamin Caro is a director and filmmaker based in Los Angeles who’s had the amazing opportunity to direct talent like Matt Damon and Sophie Turner for GQ and Vanity Fair, and create unique branded documentaries for Uproxx. Cathedrals (starring Brendan Sexton III), his debut as a writer-director, is an especially meaningful “bucket list” project, and winner of “Best Narrative Short” at the Los Angeles Movie Awards.

Before directing, Benjamin edited music videos, commercials, trailers, reality shows and film, everything from high-energy HP campaigns to award-winning indie films. Besides film, his other passion is writing. As a freelance journalist, Ben wrote a takedown of travel apps for LA Weekly before joining the ranks of their food blog “Squid Ink,” and was a frequent contributor at Guest of a Guest LA, where one his humor articles gained 10x the traffic as usual. He also created a travel site devoted to uncovering unlikely experiences. Camera in hand, he’s crashed kitchens in the SFV with the outspoken restaurant owner/personalty Tran Nguyen and profiled underground Muay Thai boxing matches in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
